Wrinkles affect the facial expression - be it positively as in sympathetic laugh lines or negatively in the form of deep wrinkles. Other wrinkles make a face look older or unnecessarily tired.
Influencing the skin’s biological aging and the extent of facial wrinkles are + among other things:
- Decreasing skin elasticity,
- Falling proportions of fatty tissue with age,
- The individual mimic muscular activity and
- Sunlight damage.
Wrinkle analysis and the concept of individual therapy
A joint analysis of the individual causes and your wishes for change are the basis of our long-term therapy concept. Even without surgery, versatile, gentle and yet effective options for professional wrinkle treatment are available to you – depending on the desired effect, skin type, localization and depth of wrinkles.
Wrinkle Treatment Munich: Anti-wrinkle injections
Many wrinkles can be limited, improved or removed gently by anti-wrinkle injection with a degradable filling substance – a so-called wrinkle augmentation or liquid lift. These substances include, among others, autologous fat, platelet-rich plasma (PRP method, HYPPP method, Dracula therapy), collagen preparations or, most frequently, hyaluronic acid preparations from renowned manufacturers. The volume structure of the tissue can be meaningfully combined with other techniques such as thread lift and derma needling. Certain hyaluronic acids are also suitable for mesotherapy. Lactic acid preparations and biolifting substances are rarely used. You should refrain from using permanent, injectable fillers such as liquid silicone, as these can cause lasting adverse foreign body reactions. Meaningful alternatives in this case are surgery or a solid implant that can be easily removed.
Wrinkle Treatment Munich: Botulinum toxin
In contrast to relining the wrinkle with a filler, when injected with a botulinum toxin such as Botox (R), the muscle under the skin becomes paralyzed in its activity – temporary, but very efficiently. Through this “inner cast”, the muscle can no longer contract and produce facial expressions or amplify. The wrinkle is thus treated at its cause. With timely initiation of therapy, this procedure guarantees absence of wrinkle, in other case/or a significant reduction in wrinkles, wherever this is desired without side effects. Then wrinkles, forehead wrinkles, eye wrinkles and so forth cannot even develop or dig deeper into the skin.
Wrinkle Treatment Munich: Microneedling
A well-established and newly discovered technique for skin tightening and improving skin quality is the medical microneedling or derma needling. After applying an anesthetic gel, needle therapy involves treating the skin with very fine, stainless steel needles (0.2-4.0 mm) fitted with needle punches or needle rollers. Thus, the skin is stimulated to form new collagen fibers and thereby tighten. Hence the name collagen induction therapy (CIT, PCI). The skin becomes more stable, coarse pores and blackheads disappear and a fresh complexion remains. For the conversion to a beautiful skin, the needle treatment is supplemented with hyaluronic acid preparations, platelet-rich plasma (“Dracula Therapy”) and vitamin oils, which penetrate very effectively into the skin after needling. The face is treatable like any other body area.

Wrinkle Treatment Munich: Thread Lifting
Another option for facial lifting (as well as tightening the skin on all other parts of the body) is the improved minimally invasive suture lifting with self-dissolving or permanently high-quality sutures that remain under the skin. The excellently skin-compatible threads are sewn into the desired skin area in an outpatient treatment, with or without local anesthesia, through thin cannulas.
Our patients often apply this treatment to the face, neck and above all the upper arm and thigh with sutures. We also use the thread lift for lax skin on the upper abdomen and around the navel.
The 100% resorbable PDO sutures, with or without small barbs, provide an immediate skin tightening effect that is stabilized in the weeks to months after soft-lifting by the complete removal of suture material and the formation of new collagen fibers. Depending on the effect, additional threads can later be sewn in. We have been using Softlifting with high-quality V-Line PDO threads with great success for about 15 years and are also training other doctors in how to use perform this treatment.
